The iconic sweet Ang Ku Kueh, meaning "red tortoise cake," originated in Fujian and was introduced to Southeast Asia by Chinese immigrants. This small, oval-shaped treat, features a puréed rice flour skin in traditional Ang Ku Kueh mould encasing in a puréed sweet mung bean filling.

Steam: 20 min at 100°C
Steaming (Recommended): Heat a pot with water until boiling, making sure the water does not touch the steaming basket or tray. Place the items into a deep bowl and cover with cling wrap to prevent condensation/water from dripping into the container. Place the bowl on the steaming basket or tray and cover the pot. Start the timer for the respective food item. Once the timer rings, carefully remove the bowl and cling wrap to serve.
Consume within 30 minutes of steaming.
