Description

Chwee Kueh, which translates to “water rice cake,” is a simple dish consisting of steamed rice cakes topped with preserved radish. Originating from the Teochew community in Singapore, these soft, slightly wobbly rice cakes has become a beloved staple at local hawker centres, particularly popular for breakfast or as a quick snack. Made with puréed rice flour and water, then steaming the mixture in cup-shaped containers, Chwee Kueh is finished with puréed preserved radish sauce for anyone to enjoy.

Ingredients

Rice Flour, Soya Bean Oil, Modified Starch, Preserved Radish (Radish, Sugar, Salt, E201), Garlic, Dark Soya Sauce (Soya Bean, Wheat Flour, E150, Salt, Sugar, Water, E211), Potato Starch, Light Soya Sauce (Water, Soya Bean, Wheat, Salt, Sugar, E621, E211), Salt.

Heating Instructions

Steam: 30 min at 100°C

Steaming (Recommended): Heat a pot with water until boiling, making sure the water does not touch the steaming basket or tray. Place the items into a deep bowl and cover with cling wrap to prevent condensation/water from dripping into the container. Place the bowl on the steaming basket or tray and cover the pot. Start the timer for the respective food item. Once the timer rings, carefully remove the bowl and cling wrap to serve.

Consume within 30 minutes of steaming.

Storage

Keep frozen at -18°C and below. Do not re-freeze once thawed.

  • Free delivery for all Singapore orders above $80.
  • For orders $80 and below, a flat delivery fee of $10 applies at checkout.

2. Delivery Schedule

  • Deliveries are arranged Mondays to Saturdays.
  • No delivery on Sundays and Public Holidays.
  • We aim to fulfill all orders within 3 working days.

3. Receiving Your Frozen Order

To maintain the quality and safety of our frozen products, please ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery and store the items in the freezer immediately upon arrival.

As delivery schedules are arranged by our logistics partner, we are unable to commit to or guarantee specific delivery time slots. 

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

4. No One At Home

To ensure product quality and maintain proper temperature control, we kindly request that someone be available at the delivery address to receive the items.

We are unable to provide refunds, replacements, or re-deliveries if the order is delivered when no one is present to receive it.

If you are unable to be home during the delivery window, you may opt for self-collection as an alternative.
